Caring for Your CLAIM Jewellery

Every CLAIM piece is designed to be worn every day — and with a little care, it will stay beautiful for years to come. Here's everything you need to know.

Storing Your Jewellery

Store each piece individually in the CLAIM pouch or box provided. This prevents scratching and tangling, and protects the finish between wears. Keep your jewellery away from direct sunlight, humidity and extreme temperatures — a cool, dry drawer or jewellery box is ideal.

Avoid storing pieces loose in a bag or alongside other jewellery, as contact with harder surfaces can cause surface marks over time.

Cleaning Your Jewellery

To clean your CLAIM pieces, use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and gently buff the surface. This removes everyday oils and residue without damaging the finish.

Avoid abrasive cloths, jewellery cleaning solutions or ultrasonic cleaners unless specifically recommended for gold vermeil. These can strip the plating and dull the surface.

Protecting the Gold Plating

Our pieces are finished with 18k gold vermeil over 925 sterling silver — a premium finish that is significantly more durable than standard gold plating. To keep it looking its best:

— Apply perfume, body lotion and hairspray before putting on your jewellery, not after.
— Remove pieces before swimming, bathing or using cleaning products.
— Avoid contact with chlorine, saltwater and harsh chemicals.
— Pat dry immediately if your jewellery gets wet.

With proper care, gold vermeil maintains its colour and lustre far longer than standard plated jewellery.

Maximising the Lifespan of Your Pieces

The simplest way to extend the life of your jewellery is to make it the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. A consistent routine — storing pieces properly after each wear — makes a significant difference over time.
